How far back can we see in time?
Have you ever loved wanting to see the past? Well, when you look in the night sky, you actually are seeing the past! Here, I explain how come we see the past without noticing. For example, if you look at andromeda galaxy, you are seeing it as it was 2.5 million years ago, since it is 2,500,000 light-years away! We can also use this phenomenon to devise the farthest we can see. And the farthest we can see is 13,800,000,000 light years away! The reason for this: The universe is 13.8 billion years old. Keep in mind that 1 Light year is 9,460,730,472,581 km. However, it is estimated that the universe is 93,000,000,000 light-years in diameter, so we can't even see half of the entire universe.
